Turning Passion Into Purpose

 My Beauty Is Natural emerged from my own personal natural hair journey. This ignited my passion and led to my pursuit to inspire and support the natural hair community. Birthed in 2010 as a small meet-up group, MBIN only existed on paper. Resources and support had not quite made its way to the forefront in 2010. There were quite a few challenges that I faced with caring for my hair including the disapproval in our culture. Thank God I had an amazing stylist caring for the total health of my hair as I attempted to find my way.

Our biggest mission right now is to dispel the stereotypes in our culture and in society that surround natural hair and its beauty. For so long we have been told that the hair God created growing from our heads naturally is not beautiful, let alone professional.

As we navigate through this journey together, it will require some patience, education, resources and love. Fortunately, that is EVERYTHING My Beauty Is Natural is about.
